You have all seen the myriad of advertising banners on
virtually every site you have visited. This can be a great way
of promoting your site. If you use a banner exchange system, you
don't even pay for the advertising.
There are a couple of considerations
to take into account when thinking about banner exchanges. First,
the way they work is that you have their banner on your site with ads
that they rotate. Generally, every two times someone sees an ad
on your site, your ad will be placed on someone else's site. You
have little control over what is being advertised on your site.
If you choose this form of web promotion,
try to limit yourself to one or at most two banner ads on your
site. I believe that the more of these ads you have on
your site; the less professional your company appears. Choose
them carefully.
